David is CISSP certified and has been with ACT for a year, having previously worked with Citrix Systems in product development and IBM Global Services, Security and Privacy consulting.

Janine Comstock

Chief Information Security Officer

AEGON Americas

As Chief Information Security Officer of AEGON Americas, Janine Comstock holds responsibility for the company’s enterprise information security strategy, policy management, incident response, awareness and training, risk-based assessments, and organization.  Ms. Comstock joined AEGON in 2005 as Senior Information Security Analyst before becoming Chief Information Security Officer in 2006.

Ms. Comstock has more than 18 years of IT and Information Security management experience in a variety of industries.  Before joining AEGON, she was Information Security Manager for Pearson, PLC.

Allan Zinkula

Systems Manager

South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company

Allan began his communications career in 1977 with the US Army.  After selection for assignment to the White House Communications Agency, he provided secure data and voice communications for three US Presidents over a 10 year period.  Allan retired as a First Sergeant after 22 years of service and, in September of 2000, began working at South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company.  He currently manages 21 men and women who install, operate and maintain the company’s voice, video and data systems.

Mitch Stoner

Network Engineer

South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company

Mitch has worked at South Slope for over 3 years and is the telephone company’s Network Engineer.  He holds a Certified Ethical Hacking and Countermeasures certificate from the EC Council and is also qualified as a Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator as well as having earned a CCNA certificate from Cisco.  Mitch supervises two network technicians and is responsible for the routing, security and management of South Slope’s video and data networks.

South Slope Cooperative Telephone Company Inc. was formed in 1958 as a Cooperative Telephone Company. By establishing itself as a Cooperative, South Slope embodied itself in the best traditions of American self-reliance and independence.

 

 

Eunjin (EJ) Jung

Assistant Professor

Department of Computer Science, The University of Iowa

Professor Jung is interested in designing and building secure distributed systems. She is currently, working on countermeasures against Sybil attacks, security in healthcare, incentive-compatible peer-to-peer systems, and usable security.

 

 

Yong Guan

Litton Assistant Professor

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Iowa State University

Professor Guan's research interests lie in computer networks and distributed systems, with focuses on security issues, including computer and network forensics, wireless and sensor network security, privacy-enhancing technologies for the Internet, and secure real-time computing and communication. He is the Litton Chair Assistant Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University and affiliated with the Iowa State University's NSA-designated Information Assurance Center. Dr. Guan is an Ames Lab associate for Midwest Forensics Resource Center at U.S. DoE's Ames Lab.
