NSC-030820: Network Port Activates/Reconnects
Please distribute this information to all computer support staff in your area:
After (disabled) computers infected with one or more virus/worm or trojans
have been repaired, and you are ready to have networking service restored
to them, please send the following information in an email message to
it-security@uiowa.edu:
IP address (if static)
MAC address (e.g., 00-00-00-00-00-00 - ethernet adapter address)
Building
Room #
Jack number (e.g., 12345-1)
A form is now available for this purpose: Request to Enable Data Port
All activation requests are being queued and processed as rapidly as
possible. Please be patient, and try to provide complete information to
help expedite this process.
