NSC-041008: Announcing Information Security Day November 2, 2004
On Tuesday, November 2, 2004 the University of Iowa IT Security Office is sponsoring an Information Security Day for campus, with several computer security topic sessions which you are invited to attend. This event is planned in conjunction with National Cyber Security Awareness month, sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance and their partners, such as US-CERT and the Department of Homeland Security.
Four sessions are being offered:
- Top Web Application Attack Methods and How to Combat Them
(for Web Application Developers, Database Administrators, and System Administrators) - Implementing TCPIP Security Filters for Windows Servers
(for Windows System Administrators) - Open Source Freely Available Network & Security Analysis Tools
(for System Administrators, Security Analysts, System Programmers, Network Analysts) - Current Information Security Threats and Countermeasures
(for all technical personnel)
