Brad Rohrer, vice president for information technology and chief academic and research information officer at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, has been named chief information officer and associate vice president at the University of Iowa. He will begin on Feb. 23.

Steve Fleagle, longtime chief information officer, to retire from the University of Iowa

Throughout Fleagle's career, he led initiatives such as OneIT and the BOREAS network, established an IT research support group, advanced systems like MAUI and electronic workflows, and guided IT responses during the 2008 flood and COVID-19 pandemic. A national search for his successor will launch this year.
